Dear colleagues:
In reply to Betsy's inquiry below, I would like to mention seminar V at
the joint conference:
IS A PICTURE REALLY WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS?: INFORMATION LITERACY & THE
VISUAL LEARNER
Monday, March 25, 2002
3:30-5:00 p.m.
This seminar will address the particular needs of the population many of
us work with, namely, visually oriented learners, who may bring a
different set of skills to this kind of inquiry. We will have the
opportunity to discuss how to launch a successful program within visual
arts curricula.
Participants will be Jeanne M. Brown, University of Nevada, Las Vegas;
Jane Carlin, University of Cincinnati; and Heather Corcoran, Washington
University, St. Louis.

Subject: [ARLIS-L] Library instruction group for St. Louis
To: [log in to unmask]
I have learned a lot from the ARLIS-L discussion on library instruction.
Since there is no formal round table or discussion group in ARLIS/NA,
would anyone be interested in meeting informally in St. Louis to discuss
their experiences? We are launching an information literacy program at
my
university and I need your ideas!
How about Monday morning at 9 AM? Reply to me personally and I'll see if
we can get enough people for a discussion.
Betsy
