Just to add a little tidbit to this discussion--
MLA, the Music Libraries Association, is holding
its annual conference in Las Vegas this year
from Feb. 16 - 21. Its list-serv is currently
abuzz with excited announcements and other
pre-conference postings. As far as I can tell,
most people did not have insurmountable problems
getting funding.
