Dear Colleagues:
An exciting opportunitiy awaits you at the 2000 ARLIS/NA Pittsburgh =
Conference=21
Be at the center of things=21 Meet new people and see old friends=21
There are several time slots at the Registration Desk for which we need
volunteers. This is a fun and easy job - as people come to get their =
packets
and name tags, you give them to them. You answer a few questions about =
where
sepcific meeting rooms are. You direct people to public telephones and to =
the
Internet Room and such. (We hope to have Pittsburgh residents and/or =
students
to answer about local sights, directions, etc., but if you can do that, let =
me
know.).
The regular registration desk time slots without names in them are:
Friday, 3-6 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Sunday, noon-3 p.m. and 3-6 p.m.
Monday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and noon-3 p.m.
There are a couple of others that are negotiable if you let me know it is =
the
only time you could help out.
The Local Info Desk is wide open for help. The days are broken down into =
four
time slots, including a 7:30 or 8-10 a.m. one. If you are willing to spend a=
few
hours getting to know the management firm staff (who will be doing the =
business
side of registration), connecting with other registrants, or just helping =
the
cause in general, please contact me at: amorris=40toledomuseum.org.
If you are more technically oriented and want to help in the Internet Room,
please contact either Barbara Prior at: barbara.prior=40oberlin.edu or Jim
Viskochil at: viskochi=40cma-oh.org, who are organizing that space.
