Any suggestions with this one?
A patron is looking for information on Elaine Castellano, more than likely
a contemporary (ca. 1970s?) artist, from Uruguay. We've looked in all of
our standard print and electronic resources, including the RLG/Eureka
databases, Art Abs, Dic of Art, etc. A random search on the Web didn't
show anything promising. (Surprisingly, for living in South Florida, we
don't have too many resources related to Caribbean/Latin American artists.)
My guess is that the artist was local. I also tend to the think that the
first name might not be correct -- Elaine certainly isn't a Spanish name --
but the patron insists.
