The server is probably not started. ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The Queens College Art Center, located on the 6th floor of the Benjamin S. Rosenthal Library at Queens College, is proud to present an exhibition by Sonja Bullaty and Angelo Lomeo, a renowned husband and wife photography team. Entitled, Sonja Bullaty and Angelo Lomeo: Landscapes of Light and Color, the exhibit will run from November 4th to December 2nd, 1999. Sonja Bullaty was born in Prague and after World War II, she was an assistant to the renowned Czech photographer Josef Sudek. She later came to New York City, where she and Angelo met, married and have shared life and photography. Angelo Lomeo was born in New York City where he studied industrial art but later turned to photography. Their color photographs have earned this husband and wife photographic team an international reputation. Bullaty and Lomeo have traveled on assignment to many parts of the world, and their photography has been widely exhibited, including at the International Center for Photography in New York City; the George Eastman House in Rochester, and the UMPRUM Museum in Prague. Their work is housed in many public and private collections. Both are featured in : Landscape Photography: the art and techniques of eight modern masters (New York: Amphoto, 1984). Other books by Bullaty and Lomeo include: Vermont in all weathers (New York: Viking, 1973); Circle of Seasons: Central Park celebrated (New York: Amaryllis, 1984), the best-selling Provence (New York: Abbeville, 1993), Tuscany (New York: Abbeville, 1995), and Venice and the Veneto (New York: Abbeville, 1998). America, America, a journey of 50 years through this country, will be published in the fall of 1999 by Abbeville Press. A selection of their publications will be on view during the exhibition. Exhibition hours are Monday to Thursdays, 9am to 8 pm, Friday, 9am to 5 pm, and Sunday, 12 to 6 pm. The gallery is closed November 25 to 28.
