I agree that Las Vegas is a terrific suggestion.  Lots to do and see with
good conference infrastructure including up-to-date technology.  Besides
airfare, lodging, and meals may be fairly reasonable.

I think that Ottawa, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Atlanta, DC, Mexico,
Boston, Santa Fe, Tucson all sound good for future conferences.  I'd love
to go to NYC, but I think that there are many infrastructural problems
associated with holding a conference there.  I'd urge that we make sure
that our future conference sites are in a variety of geographic areas to
give members who have limited travel funcs a chance at attending a
conference which is nearby.
