Hello,
I am in a similar boat (and I don't even have a library yet)=21 There a book=
 on
reference services by Thomas Mann (reference librarian of the Library of
Congress). They explain many different approaches to reader expectations vs.=
 the
library as living organism. It is not a book about 'art librarianship' but I=
 am
adapting his principles to art materials, and it is a good sourcebook, and =
easy
reading.

Mann, Thomas, 1948-
A guide to library research methods /
Thomas Mann.
New York : Oxford University Press, =
1987.
                                     xiv, 199 p. : ill. =3B 22 cm.
