Trudy,

I think the project your professor is looking for is called =22Chicano =
Park.=22  The
Chicano Park web site =3Cchicanopark.org=3E includes a history, maps, and
photographs of the murals and sculptures in San Diego's Logan Heights/Barrio
Logan neighborhood, beneath the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge. (NB: the =
site
was inoperative when I tried it today.)

A second web site, from San Diego State University, looks at Chicano Park as=
 a
case study in Chicano history:
=3Chttp://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/dept/mas/chicano/index.html=3E.  It includes a =
=22virtual
tour=22 of the park's murals.

Trudy--
  This may not be the site, but it is worth looking into for Chicano art:
