    I don't know about the art colonies in the UK, but "Modern Painters" or
"Modern Painting", I don't remember the exact title, deals with the UK in an
"ArtNews" kind of way.  I really like looking at this magazine, and find it
very informative from a British perspective. I hope this helps.
