TEMPORARY  PART-TIME   WEB  ASSISTANT

DESCRIPTION:  The FISHER  FINE  ARTS  LIBRARY seeks a Part-time Web
Assistant to develop and administrate a training program for the creation
of web pages specific to the Library's fine arts holdings.  Duties will
include: development of webpage production/training process (including
templates compatible with multiple platforms and which utilize varying
modes of display;) design of image digitization request forms;
development and maintainance of database for tracking image digitization
requests; communication with faculty about digitization requests and
template format; assisting in web page creation and project evaluation.

Required commitment through June 2000, including exams times and academic
breaks; 20 hrs/week scheduled between 9-5 weekdays; salary range $8-12.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required: High school diploma; strong communication,
problem solving and organizational skills; ability to work independently
and effectively in a collaborative setting; excellent desktop computer
skills and an understanding of Adobe Photoshop, WS-FTP and HTML tagging,
and web page an understanding of Adobe Photoshop, WS-FTP and HTML
tagging, and web page development.  Preferred:  Experience with Microsoft
Office (esp. Excel,Access, Word) or other database software; familiarity
with relational databases, Unix operating system.
