----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Colleagues-- We have the following position available at the Fine Arts Library at Cornell University and would appreciate the referral of any qualified candidates: JOB OPENING AT CORNELL UNIVERSITY *Temporary Reference Librarian Part time/20 hours Appointment ends December 23, 1999 Fine Arts Library Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Fine Arts Librarian, provide reference service in the fields of art, architecture, city planning and landscape architecture. This includes the use of printed materials as well as performing on-line bibliographic searches. Must understand database structure and be comfortable with advanced searching techniques particularly in the use of the on-line catalog and RLIN. 20 hours per week, with some weekend hours as needed. Available: Immediately. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, M.L.S. preferred. Training in, knowledge and interest in the fields served by the Fine Arts Library desired. Excellent customer service attitude and strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
