I think we all have to accept that in entering an online/virtual
information age there is an increasing centralization of resources.  It is
my opinion that while our expertise in arts librarianship is not a
hindrance, it is advisable that we maintain a broad perspective on
information management to secure an everchanging future in whatever
profession.  I consider it a bonus, that in our capacity as information
managers, if the opportunity arises, we are 'lucky' to indulge our art
expertise.
Of course, I speak from within an Australian context.
