************************** Workshop Addition ************************* MCN is pleased to announce a NEW full-day workshop has been added to the conference line-up. Wednesday, October 27 9am - 4:30pm $250 QuickTime Virtual Reality in Cultural Heritage James Devine, Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery, University of Glasgow, Scotland Andrew MacDonald, Dept. Computing Science, University of Glasgow, Scotland The use of QTVR for computer-based display of cultural resources provides museums, galleries, and related organizations with an opportunity to present their resources in an innovative and interactive way to remote users, and to supplement in-house exhibits with on-line resources. This introductory level workshop will provide participants with an overview of the issues involved, and will examine the potential of QTVR in heritage management contexts, using examples from Glasgow University's Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery, and others.
