        Assistant Librarian-Technical Services emphasis

        The Illinois Institute of Art at Chicago, a small applied arts
        college, offering degrees in multimedia, animation, graphic
        design, fashion, interior design, and culinary arts, is seeking
        an Assistant Librarian.  The position reports to the Chief Librarian.
        Responsibilities include cataloging, serials management, database
        maintenance, and supervision of post-cataloging technical
        services. Shared responsibilities include reference, collection
        development, training, supervision, and project management.

        Qualifications include MLS, art background, and previous library
        experience.  Candidate must have knowledge of OCLC, AACR2, MARC,
        LCSH, LC classification, MS Word, MS Excel, and electronic resources.
        Familiarity with Windows NT Server and web site development desirable.
