----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The ARLIS New York Catalogers Discussion Group will meet on Monday, Aug. 30, 1999 at the Frick Art Reference Library from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. On the agenda will be reports from cataloging meetings at ALA, and if there is sufficient time and interest, discussion of the proposed revisions to art cataloging announced by the Library of Congress earlier this month. The meeting will be held in the Reading Room on the 3rd floor. If we can wrap up early there will be a tour of the recently renovated staff offices on the 6th floor. The Library is located at 10 E. 71 St., between Madison and 5th Avenues. Local and limited buses on the two avenues stop at 72nd. St. The nearest subway is the 68th St. stop on the #6 train. The N and R trains stop at 5th Ave. and 59th St. or Lexington Ave. and 59th St. Transfer from E and F trains at 51st St. and Lex/3rd. The main entrance to the Library is closed during the month of August. All access is through the staff entrance, on the south side of 71st St., a little further toward 5th Ave. than the main entrance.
