About a month ago, I sent an email out requesting input from individuals
who have created or know of the creation of artist databases on the
Internet. This comes out of a panel session that was given in Vancouver
("Is My Artist Listed?"). So far, I've only gotten information on three
Internet databases, which are below. However, I'm pretty sure there were
others discussed that day. Didn't someone say that California had one in
the works and that Indiana had something like this too? Again, I'm
looking for input about artist databases related to cultures, regions,
media, whatever that provide biographical and/or exhibition
information. URLs and advice/assistance in the creation of these
databases would be much appreciated. Thanks to Clive Phillpot, Cyndie
Campbell, and Lee Sorensen so far for help and URLs.
