The latest issue of ARLIS/New York news mentioned that the board was talking
about a trip to Gustav Stickley's Craftsman Farms in Parsippany, New Jersey
sometime this summer. Though there is published information on Craftsman
Farms, there's more too. Last Sunday (18 April 1999), the New Jersey regional
section of the New York times had an article entitled "By hammer and hand,
Stickley's home" by Joseph d'Agnese (p. 18). (I tried to find the article on
the Times website but was unsuccessful; I have a photocopy from one of my NYU
colleagues who lives across the river). And the author even mentions a nearby
diner for eating. I sure hope the board decides to do the bus trip.
