The Art of the Goldrush

In celebration of the sesquicentennial of the discovery of gold in
California, this exhibition will present 65 paintings, drawings and
watercolors that focus on the themes and experience of the Gold Rush
period from 1849--1889 and their importance to American genre
painting. The presentation will include spectacular gold specimens and
mining artifacts of the period. Curated by Janice T. Driesbach,
organized by the Crocker Art Museum.

California Legacies

A variety of exhibits illustrate the rich, colorful and diverse
history of the people who first settled the West and Orange County.
