Lauderdale, FL 33301 announces the opening of MIAMI CITY BALLET: AN EXHIBITION April 8-June 13, 1999 The exhibit contains 52 items, including Edward Villella memorabilia (awards, prizes, letters, manuscripts, etc.); letters, newspaper clippings, and photographs belonging to MCB founder, Toby Lerner Ansin; 4 full costumes, various costume accessories, and costume design drawings; set design drawings, partial sets, and one set maquette; photographs (many of George Balanchine), books, renderings of the new 11 million dollar MCB headquarters designed by the architectural firm, Arquitectonica, and other miscellaneous artifacts. Edward Villella, Artistic Director, Miami City Ballet, spoke at the opening reception on April 8th.
