----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Colleagues: Out of 12 web sites currently listed on the ARLIS/NA Beauty on the Web page, there are still 4 that cannot be accessed via the hyperlinks there. For your information, they are as follows: French Virtual Museum; Panorama 2000 (1999 Utrecht Exhibition); Barbie Chronicles; and Beautiful Craft-Art in Vancouver [this last one is actually Joseph Wu's Origami Page]. The URLs that are listed for these sites ARE correct, so please visit the site anyway. You will simply need to (temporarily) bookmark the URLs for the above sites and visit them directly through your own browser. I know that Lee Sorenson has been working on them in his spare time (of which he has very little). I apologize to you and to Lee for jumping the gun and reporting all problems fixed before double-checking to make sure this was true. The hyperlinks for the other 8 work fine and are well worth visiting the site for. They include: Faces from LA; Lascaux Caves; Luminarium; Digital Monograph for Joseph Cornell; Pratt Institute; Rhode Island School of Design; Goethe Institute; and Frick Museum. Once again, the ARLIS/NA Beauty on the Web page will be found at <http:www.lib.duke.edu/lilly/arlis/beauty.htm>. Please don't hesitate to recommend other beauties. Do be sure that the URL you give us is currently working and that the site still exists. In listing the URL, be as specific as possible. In other words, if you are not recommending the whole site, but only part of it, make sure the URL you list is for the particular section you want to point to.
