----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Greetings! This message is for anyone interested in becoming a member of the ARLIS Technology Committee. There is one opening still available. Seeking enthusiasm and interested people -you do not have to be a geek to participate! <grin> If you can still make it to Vancouver for the conference (if you are not already going) that would be good, but not a crisis if you can't (although maybe committee membership would help your cause?!). It would be nice if you could definitely plan to attend next year's in Pittsburgh though. You may be interested to note that this is a new committee, a combination of the former Technology Education and Technology Relations committees. The ARLIS web site has the old committees' mission statements online and should have the new one soon (or perhaps I just didn't look in the right spot). To see the former committee statements, look at www.lib.duke.edu/lilly/arlis/policy/c42.html (and c43.html). Naturally, I left my hard copy of the new one home so I can't include it in this message. It is pretty open ended so there is lots of room for activities you might be interested in working on. I have several ideas of exciting projects the committee could take on myself. Please let me know of your interest as soon as possible so I can develop an agenda for the conference meeting. Thanks!
