what kind of machines will be in the Internet room -- Mac's or PCs? Usually
the easiest thing to do if you are a Eudora user is to copy your settings
file on to a floppy & use that to start the program.

>>Dear Conferees,
>>
>>This is an important message from the Managing Director of our Internet
>>Room at the Vancouver Conference. We're looking forward to seeing you, but
>>know that you'd like to stay in touch with the outside world as well!
>>
>>INTERNET ROOM / EMAIL ACCESS
>>
>>People using the Internet Room to retrieve and send email will fall into one
>>of two categories. If people are unsure what the addresses referred to below
>>are, they should see their local network administrator or computer support
>>person.
>>
>>** The information outlined below is absolutely essential for access to
>>email from the Conference. Without the necessary information,
>>participants will be unable to use their email. **
>>
>>1) People who telnet to a server to use email
>>=============================================
>>
>>These people only need the address of the computer they telnet to, their
>>login name, and their password.
>>
>>2) People who use a program such as Eudora, Netscape, or Microsoft
>>Exchange to read and send email.
>>==================================================================
>>
>>These people will need the following information:
>>
>>a) The address of the POP3 server they use
>>b) The address of the SMTP server they use
>>c) The login name and password they use for these servers
>>
>>People in category 2 should also ask their network administrator if there are
>>any restrictions on accessing their POP3 and SMTP servers from certain
>>Internet addresses. A common security measure is to restrict access to an
>>SMTP server from a known set of IP addresses.
