Please respond directly to me off list: [log in to unmask] I am compiling a bibliography on collectors and collecting for our Interpretation department. One of the requests by Interpretation was to find out which biographies of their collectors institutions recommend. We are specifically interested in such collectors and institutions as Frick, Stewart Gardner, Hearst, Huntington, Marion Koogler McNay, the Women's Museum.... among others who I am individually writing to. I would particularly appreciate it if any collections with female collectors, collectors who set up collections in their house, any with collectors of Russian or French art in America would respond, even if no biographies have been written. Feel free to tell a friend or two. Feel free to send suggestions or any other bibliographies you may already know about or have compiled yourselves. Thank you for your help!
