----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The Special Department of the University of Delaware Library announces its latest on-line exhibition: LANDS OF OPPORTUNITY: BOOKS OF THE STATES which is available through the Special Collections homepage at http://www.lib.udel.edu/ud/spec/ Lands of Opportunity includes one book for each of the fifty states in the United States. Each book describes the early exploration, settlement, or move toward statehood. The books cover three hundred years of history from a 1633 German document relating to the Swedish trading company which first settled Delaware to a 1903 brochure promoting statehood for Oklahoma.
