ALA Student Chapter at UCLA welcomes Jim Schmidt to UCLA's Department of
Library and Information Science.  Jim Schmidt will present a public lecture
on "Building the Joint Library: the San Jose Public Library and the SJSU
Library."

Jim Schmidt is currently running for ALA President Elect.  He is University
Librarian & Professor at San Jose State University.  His previous positions
have been:  Executive
Vice President, Research Libraries Group, Inc.; University Librarian, Brown
University; Library Director, University of Albany (SUNY); Undergraduate
Librarian, Ohio State University; Associate Librarian, Southwest Texas
State University; Reference Librarian, General Motors Institute; Reference
Librarian, Flint (MI) Public Library.

Everyone is welcome to come.  A reception will follow in the GSE&IS Student
Commons.
