SECAC 1999 Call for Visual Resources Sessions The Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) will hold their 1999 meeting in Norfolk, Virginia, October 27-30. The Art Department of Old Dominion University will act as host with conference sessions being held at Norfolk's Waterside Marriott overlooking the downtown waterfront area. The Marriott's room rate for the conference will be $114 + tax and parking $10- $12 per day. The conference highlights will include receptions at the Chrysler Museum of Art and the Portsmouth Museum, tours of the area and a Saturday night party on the Elizabeth River. The SECAC annual conference provides visual resources curators the opportunity to present papers and to participate in roundtable discussions. "Visual Resources at the Millennium" will be this year's VRC Paper session theme. Suggested topics for papers could include, but are not limited to: the Y2K problem, digital imaging projects, the changing role of the VR professional, managing slides and digital imaging, database software management as related to web-based images, resource sharing or other topics.
