UVA Library announces release of electronic exhibition
catalog utilizing "RealPlayer" video clips.

An exhibition of watercolors, entitled "The Joy That Flows
From My Brush," celebrates the creative life of Richard C.
Pullinger (1905-1998). Mr. Pullinger, a UVA Architecture
School alumnus, had a long successful career in
Philadelphia. He cultivated his painting skills for many
decades after leaving Charlottesville by capturing the
transitory effects of mist and moisture, sun light and
seasonal color as he vacationed up and down the New England
coastline.

The website was designed by Paola Sanmiguel and Josie
Pipkin of the niversity Library Publications Department
with narration by Jack Robertson, Fine Arts Librarian and
curator of the exhibition. The web site address is
http://www.lib.virginia.edu/fine-arts/Pullinger/index.html

Portions of the catalog, with commentary on the artist and
his works, are presented in RealPlayer video. RealPlayer
is freely available to download: simply click on the "video
controls help" button in the upper left of the title page.
When viewing the video portions, be careful to chose "Lo,"
"M," or "Hi" depending on the advice given in this help
section.

The exhibit will be on view on the second floor of the
Fiske Kimball Fine Arts Library until May 1999. Four
watercolors presented to the Library as a gift by Mr.
Pullinger are on permenant view on the first floor.
