----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Ursula: We are automatically members of our local area Library Cooperative which includes Special & Academic Librares , as well as Public. When our board insisted we automate our small library, we ultimately chose software to be compatible with that used by the cooperative for their union catalog, from the same company ("auto-graphics"). We were able to add our call numbers to some of their holdings directly, add MARC records on file from Ingram's partner Marcive, "Retrcon" some records ourselves, & ultimately turn the Retrocon project over to auto-graphics. Software also have Circulation, Patron, etc. components. Not perfect, but Technical Support is very good. Folletts also has software which is much less expensive & their Retrcon fees were identical. Best wishes. Sincerely, Rebecca D. Steel, Librarian Kalamazoo Inst. of Arts Library 314 S.
