----------------------------Original message---------------------------- A consortium of 17 special libraries is looking for recommendations for retroconversion companies to convert approximately 500,000 records in a wide variety of languages with a projected hit-rate of 75% in U.S. electronic databases. We would prefer the final merged union catalogue to be in UNIMARC but have conversion capabilities from USMarc. We may be able to supply tapes of scanned records. Cost, timely completion of work, and reliability are major considerations. If anyone has a company to recommend, please respond at your earliest convenience, preferrably before Friday, Dec. 18th.
