This is to let you know that there is a new website for Islamic art at the
Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The site provides a general introduction
to Islamic art drawing upon works from LACMA's collection. The site includes
42 color images, a map, and a glossary. The site can be reached through the
LACMA website: http://www.lacma.org/ (under permanent collections), or it
can be reached directly at
