listservs.

"Position 176-1999:  Collections Services Supervisor, Grade to be
determined.
Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts.

Develop and maintain library and slide collection, ensuring that
materials are readily available and accessible to faculty and students
in accordance with Departmental and University educational policies.
Manage collections and identify and recommend books and slides to be
acquired including specialized areas.  Oversee library operations
and staff including establishing and implementing policies and
procedures.  Manage the budget, analyze trends and make projections.
Supervise the preparation of reserve reading for Fine Arts classes.
Advise faculty and students in use of library and slide collection.
Create data bases for visual archives and coordinate World Wide
Web design.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree, preferably in Art or Art
History and 4 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
Must include library or visual arts resource experience.  Knowledge
of technology scanning images, creating data bases for visual
archives, and basic library procedures.  Familiarity with WWW sites
design and at least one foreign language for cataloguing purposes.
Preferred:  Master's dgree in Art History or Library Scince and
facility with several western European languages."
