Does anyone have any information about M. Moleiro, Editor, S.A., Barcelona?
More specifically the approximate price range of their publications.

Their catalog comes from a faculty member who suggests we should acquire
some of their titles. The beautifully illustrated brochure has no prices and
an e-mail request for prices has not been answered.

They claim to offer "some of the most exquisite bibliographical jewels in
the world" in what they call quasi-originals in limited editions of less
than 1,000 numbered copies. Most are printed on "paper handmade with the
same touch, thickness and smell of the original." Sample titles are:
Usuard's Martyrology (circa 1400, 700 illustrations), Bible of St. Louis
(Toledo copy, 13th century, 5,000 story scenes), Prayerbook of Albert of
Brandenburg (1534,43 splendid full page illuminations).

Most titles were not in WorldCat, the few that were listed were held in one
European library with the Walters and Princeton each having one of the titles.

It seems to me well-bankrolled book collectors and art historians are the
customers they seek. Obviously academic libraries are not buying. Is it
because of the price --- whatever that may be?!
