20 rooms will be held under ARLIS/SE until October 1, 1998.  Call the
Radisson 24 hours in advance of your arrival (or when you arrive at the
airport) to schedule your free shuttle service from Sarasota-Bradenton
Airport to the Radisson.  Hotel has wonderful lounge and restaurant and will
serve as registration headquarters.
Rates: Thursday, October 15 =2489.93, Friday through Saturday =24131.00 per =
night.
A list of other motels and hotels in Sarasota is enclosed but there is no
free transportation available and many sites do not have restaurant =
facilities.

Thursday, October 15
Arrival
5-10pm:  Meet in the Lounge of the Radisson to register, have dinner and
meet friends.

Friday, October 16
Ringling School of Art and Design

10 am-2 pm:
Tour of the Campus and Computer Animation Lab, Visit to Selby Gallery, Tour
of the beautiful new RSAD Library and look at Re:discovery, automated slide
management system, Lunch on campus (included in registration)

2-3:30 pm:  ARLIS/SE Business meeting at RSAD

3:30-5pm:   Tour of Sarasota County=92s new Selby Library (downtown =
Sarasota),
browse art galleries and shops of Main Street and downtown Sarasota=3B meet =
at
Sarasota News and Books, a wonderful coffeehouse and art book shop.

7 pm:          Dinner on Main Street

Saturday, October 17
The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

10:00 am-12 noon:
An Introduction to Museum Archives, Deborah Walk, Museum Archivist and
Curator of Historical Resources

Noon-1:30 pm:  Lunch at the Banyan Caf=E9 (included in registration)

1:30-2:30 pm:   A Tour of the Museum Galleries with Dr. Mitchell Merling,
Ringling Museum Curator of Art Before 1900

2:45-4:00 pm:   Gallery Talk and Tour of new exhibition, Joseph Beuys
Multiples, with Dr. Gene Ray, Curator of Exhibitions

4:15-6:00 pm:    Tour of the Museum=92s Department of Collections and
Registration and the Museum Art Library, followed by LoPresti Awards
(optional raffle at =245.00)

7:30 pm:   Dinner on St. Armands Circle
