The scenes of destruction wreaked by Hurricane Georges on the Dominican
Republic are truly terrible.

You asked for donations of design-related material for the library of Altos =

Chavon.  We are prepared to give them a free subscription to design and
applied arts index on CD-ROM for an indefinite period.  Of course it won't =
be
much use to them until power is restored. In the meantime we will set up a
complimentary sub to the print edition and send them (via you) the last two
years issues.

Hope this is of some help.  Thank God we live in a relatively Hurricane-free
zone here in Britain.
