Dear ARLIS/Ohio Valley Chapter Members,
Reminder: The deadline for applying for the Summer 1998 Chapter Travel
Award is July 20th. The Summer Meeting will be held in Dayton, Ohio,
Thursday and Friday, August 6-7. We encourage interested members to apply.

ARLIS/OHIO VALLEY CHAPTER TRAVEL AWARD APPLICATION
The ARLIS/Ohio Valley Chapter is offering a Summer 1998 Travel Award. A
grant in the amount of $200.00 is available to any Ohio Valley Chapter
member to assist in the expense of attending the Dayton meeting, August
6-7, 1998.
AWARD CRITERIA: The award will be granted based on one or more of the
following considerations: financial need, level of chapter participation,
ARLIS/NA affiliation, first-time attendance, and contribution to the meeting.
APPLICATION:
1. Submit a letter of application to the committee addressing any relevant
award criteria and indicating how you will benefit from the meeting.
2. Include information regarding any available travel funding from your
institution.
3. Please include a current resume.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:
Applications must be postmarked on or before July 20, 1998. The recipient
will be notified by July 27, 1998 and must confirm in writing that he/she
will be able to attend the conference. The award will be presented at the
meeting. Award recipients are not eligible to apply again for three years.
After receiving the award, the recipient must submit a short professional
or institutional profile for subsequent Collage publication.
