Error during command authentication.
Error - unable to initiate communication with LISTSERV (errno=10061, phase=CONNECT, target=127.0.0.1:2306). The server is probably not started.
To my mind, a listserv isn't the best location for lists of this nature anyhow -- it requires archiving messages while you hunt against your own list. While having "Serials" in the message line works well with those subscribing to the listserv, it's a real pain for those DIGESTING the listserv. IMHO it seems that posting lists in an index on a ARLIS/NA website location -- where we can send the lists freely (so that Lee doesn't have to jimmy with them) would be best. I know, I know, not everybody has the technology. (I'm not sure I have.) But why moan about lack of technology rather than gather around the issue and try to solve it (cooperation, for instance). `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` ROSS DAY is Associate Museum Librarian at The Robert Goldwater Library, The Metropolitan Museum of Art ([log in to unmask], Tel. 212-570-3707, fax 2125703879) ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
