When I posted this last month I got only one reply. I hope it's not the third time that's a charm: One of our interns is seeking information about a suspected painting that challenges notions of high-technology medicine. She writes: "Searching for a popular and widely-reproduced image -- potentially in a similar style to Norman Rockwell -- consisting of the imageof a young couple standing on either side of a doctor in whose arms he holds a dead baby child. The point being to reinforce a caring image of modern medicine, in order to counteract certain alienating and negative connotations inspiried within popular opinion by the represention of modern medicine through high technology and apparatus." I will post a compilation of answers if any actually show up. Thanks. `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` ROSS DAY is Associate Museum Librarian at The Robert Goldwater Library, The Metropolitan Museum of Art ([log in to unmask], Tel. 212-570-3707, fax 2125703879) ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
