When I posted this last month I got only one reply. I hope it's not the
third time that's a charm:

One of our interns is seeking information about a suspected painting that
challenges notions of high-technology medicine. She writes:

"Searching for a popular and widely-reproduced image -- potentially in a
similar style to Norman Rockwell -- consisting of the imageof a young
couple standing on either side of a doctor in whose arms he holds a dead
baby child. The point being to reinforce a caring image of modern
medicine, in order to counteract certain alienating and negative
connotations inspiried within popular opinion by the represention of
modern medicine through high technology and apparatus."
