----------------------------Original message---------------------------- ------------------ Dear ARLIS and VRA colleagues: Andrew Lee, the librarian in the Tamiment Library here at NYU (labor and social history), found a wonderful illustrated book described below. He cannot verify another copy of it. Please reply to him directly (and to the list if you want). Thanks. These are the individual pages prints that identify the work (in the order that they appear in the bound volume): =22This is Book Number 2, made in the Old Howard Building Seatle, 1935, Tony Perez=22. =22Dedicated to International labor Defence=22 =22Introduction by Michael Gold=22 =22=5FScottsboro Alabama A Story in Linoleum Cuts=5F by Lin Shi Khan and Tony Perez=22 All these are themselves linoleum cuts pasted onto what seems to be purple construction paper. The =222=22 and =22Tony Perez=22 are written in pencil. The foreword by Gold is a typed mimeo on thin paper and pasted in. The book itself is a fascinating account of African-American history and Scoottsboro. I cannot find any entry for this item in RLIN or OCLC. Has anyone seen this before? Andrew H.
