UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY-STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK.  The Art
Department invites applications for a part-time Visual Resources
Curator to manage and develop a collection of over 90,000 slides.
The Curator will be responsible for maintaining the organization of
the collection, making and cataloging new slides, supervising slide
circulation and overseeing the use and repair of photographic and
projection equipment.  The Curator will also prepare the collection
for future digitization and entry into a visual database.  The
collection presently serves the needs of 3 art historians, 10 studio
faculty and 45 MA and MFA students as well as faculty, students and
administrators from various areas within the university.  The
position of Visual Resources Curator requires a Bachelor of Arts in
Art History and a Master's in Library SCiene or a Master's in Art
History with previous experience in a visual resources collection,
and familiarity with new digital technologies.  The position is
designated as 2/3 time for 10 months with a salary range of $16,500 -
$20,000.  Anticipated starting date is August 20.Please send letter
