Subject: Full LSTA Grants available

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce the availability of
Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds for full LSTA grants.

All types of libraries (public, school, academic, special) may apply for
funding.

Proposals must fall into one of the following grant programs:

        2) Resource Sharing,
        3) Staff Development and Training, and/or

Although there is no cap to the amount of federal funds which may be
requested, a local match of 25% of the total project amount is required.

Approved proposals will run from October 1, 1998 to September 30, 1999.

The Request for Proposal, including criteria and eligibility
requirements, grant guidelines, and deadlines, can be found via the
State Library webpage, WINSLO, at http://winslo.state.oh.us

In order to apply for a grant, applicants must attend a LSTA
Grantwriting Workshop. Information on the workshops can be found at the
end of the RFP. If you intend to attend one of the workshops, you must
notify the LSTA Office by mail, fax, or email by February 15, 1998.
