----------------------------Original message----------------------------
Our museum's Technology Team has been working on policy statements and
potential legal issues with reference to Internet access for museum staff
members which will be available soon (as opposed to public access which is
not offered at this time). I have been asked to inquire whether other
museums which provide their staffs with access

1. Have an institutional policy covering staff use and if so, would you
share it with us, and
2. Do you block or filter any Internet sites or categories of sites from
staff use? If so, what are your criteria? If not, is it a "freedom of
information" issue, a legal issue or not an issue at all?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. This will become an issue for
more and more of us. I will try to summarize responses to the list if
people reply to me directly, otherwise, maybe response is more appropriate
to the list itself. Thank you in advance.
