Have you tried contacting the "Image of the Black in Western Art".
This Harvard University Project (DuBois Institute) has published 3 or 4
volumes whose indices might prove useful. You can also contact the
project directly. I don't have their number at hand, but a web search on
"Harvard University, Dubois Institute" should locate them.
