Faster Internet access is on the way for the staff members at ARLIS/NA
headquarters.  Capital Associates, the building managers for Olson
Management Group, Inc., the management firm for ARLIS/NA, has teamed up with
KIVEX Internet Services to install a T-1 line to the Summit Building and
offer high-speed Internet access. After the line and equipment are in place
in February 1998, the staff will have dedicated Internet connection through
KIVEX.
Since T1 access is about 100 times faster than modem access, the ARLIS/NA
staff is looking forward to this dedicated connection, which will no longer
require shared modems and incur dial-up problems linking to busy commercial
service providers.
