Dear ARLIS/Ohio Valley Chapter Members,
This is a reminder that the deadline for applying for the Spring 1998
Chapter Travel Award is March 1st. To date the Travel Award Committee has
received no applications. We strongly encourage interested members to
apply. Details for application are listed below. This information is also
available at the Chapter web site http://www.pitt.edu/~fricklib/arlisoh/
or in the Fall- Winter 97/98 issue of Collage.
ARLIS/OHIO VALLEY CHAPTER TRAVEL AWARD APPLICATION
The ARLIS/Ohio Valley Chapter offers Spring 1998 Travel Award. A grant in
the amount of $200.00 is available to any Ohio Valley Chapter member to
assist in the expense of attending the Pittsburgh meeting, May 14-15, 1998.
AWARD CRITERIA: The award will be granted based on one or more of the
following considerations: financial need, level of chapter participation,
ARLIS/NA affiliation, first-time attendance, and contribution to the meeting.
APPLICATION:
1. Submit a letter of application to the committee addressing any relevant
award criteria and indicating how you will benefit from the meeting.
2. Include information regarding any available travel funding from your
institution.
3. Please include a current resume.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:
Applications must be postmarked on or before March 1, 1998. Recipients
will be notified by April 1, 1998 and must confirm in writing that they
will be able to attend the conference. The award will be presented at the
spring meeting. Award recipients are not eligible to apply again for three
years. After receiving the award, the recipient must submit a short
professional or institutional profile for subsequent Collage publication.
