Summer 1998 Internship For Diversity In The Musuem Profession
                    June 1-August 21, 1998

A full-time internship (five-day week, thirty-five hours per week) to
provide practical experience in the museum field.  Minority students are
encouraged to apply.  Open to upper-level bachelor or master degree level
students currently enrolled in art history or field of study which will
lend itself to the goals of the internship.  Candidates interested in
registrarial, collections management, fine arts librarianship, or
archival management are especially encouraged to apply.  The intern will
work with experienced museum professionals, participate in a seminar,
take field trips, and will receive a $4500 stipend and assistance with
finding local housing.  To apply, send a complete application packet
including: a cover letter, resume, three letters of recommendation, a
copy of most recent undergraduate/graduate transcript, and a personal
