----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The Art Libraries Society/Southeast (ARLIS/SE) held its annual business meeting hosted by the New Orleans Museum of Art Felix Dreyfous Library. Members from seven southeastern states attended, representing academic, research, museum, private, and public libraries. The group announced winners of its annual LoPresti Award for outstanding arts publications and visited sites of interest, including the Heriard-Cimino Gallery, the Jazz Archive at the Louisiana State Museum, and the research facilities of the Historic New Orleans Collection. For its members, ARLIS/SE promotes continuing professional education, greater use of art libraries and visual resources collections, and excellence in art librarianship and the visual arts. Two newsletters and active listserve are available to members. Membership dues for 1998 are $5.00.
