The Architecture and Fine Arts Library at USC is seeking a
service-oriented, energetic, and creative Reference and Instruction
librarian. Primary responsibilities include coordinating reference for the
unit and developing a program of innovative library and research
instruction. Other responsibilities include working with the unit head to
move the library forward in cutting-edge technology, information delivery
and reference training for the unit.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in Library Science and subject
knowledge/expertise in the following areas: architecture, fine arts, or the
history of art. Demonstrated competence in the use of on-line systems,
databases, and the Internet are essential to this position, as well as
superior communication skills, professionalism, and a firm commitment to
service.

The Architecture and Fine Arts Library continues to lead the way in new
information technologies, and is part of the Information Services Division.
Many classes in architecture and the arts already have on-line websites,
providing students and faculty with 24-hour access to information. The
successful candidate will be able to take full advantage of these
resources, building on an already established background in basic reference
service and instruction.

This position is a full-time, continuing appointment faculty position.
Candidates are expected to meet faculty criteria to receive continuing
appointment status.

Salary Range: 34,000 to 40,000
