----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The conference preliminary programs have been mailed from the ARLIS/NA headquarters and should be in your mailboxes soon. Please note that you will NOT receive a hotel reservation envelope in the mailing. Information for making room reservations at the hotel is included on p.4 of the preliminary program in the second paragraph under "The Hotel and Local Information." I highly recommend making reservations directly with the Doubletree Hotel, Broad and Locust Street, Philadelphia, by calling the 215-893-1600 number--the 800 number that is also listed in the program is a central reservation number for ALL Doubletree Hotels. If you would like to make your hotel reservations before receiving the preliminiary program, I've included the specifics below. A block of rooms has been reserved for conference attendees. The room rate is $128 single, $138 double, $148 triple, and $158 quad, plus 13% tax. The room block will be protected until February 5, 1998. Rooms may be reserved by calling the hotel directly at 215-893-1600, 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday. Please identify yourself with the ARLIS/NA conference to receive the discounted conference room rate.
