----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Concern has been expressed with regard to the potential Canadian postal strike and how it might affect ARLIS/NA deadlines with regard to submitting Wittenborn Book Award Nominations (deadline Dec. 31) Wittenborn Award Chair Marilyn Berger has suggested that, in the case of a postal strike, nominations for the award be sent to her via courier (e.g.,) Federal Express, Airborne Express, etc.) and requests that the shipper assume the cost of customs duties. For shipments from outside Canada to the Wittenborn Chair, please be sure to check with your shipper regarding international shipment regulations which may require additional paperwork. --Penney De Pas, CAE Executive Director ARLIS/NA
