I am new to this library and I am looking for assistance about techniques
for classification of slides in a slide library. This is part of a grant
proposal for students to access these digital images through web pages, to
create a searchable, digital database/index for the collection, and assist
with on-site use.  The slide library currently has approximately 93,000
slides.  The slide library has no consistent classification system and no
full time staff. Can anybody offer advise or examples of a classification
system their institution is using?
